Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    NSW Dad's Cruise 14/12/13

    Hi all,

    Some of you know (now all of you will), my parents are coming from the Netherlands to visit me this year. Now my dad has never been in a car cruise or anything (even though he's a huge car nut himself). So I thought it would be a great opportunity to show him what kind of community we are and to introduce him to a nice cruise for the day.

    I hope you guys can all make it and give him a great day and introduce him to the proper Aussie way of car meets!!!

    Saturday December 14, 2013

    Time:
    7:30am - Meet at Pheasants Nest Service Station (Hume Highway), then depart at 8:00am.

    What to Bring:
    - CB Radio (if you have 1)
    - An open and friendly attitude.
    - Whatever makes you comfortable through out the day.
    - Your Family and/or Friends if you like! Everyone is welcome.
    - A camera for photo opportunities.
    - A FULL tank of petrol before you get to the meeting point.

        haha was hoping for the first one (especially the wet t-shirts) but I think we'll stick to option 2

              I'm keen. I've been doing a few meets in the ACT with other clubs, but I'm ALWAYS down for a Macquarie Pass run.

                  Dang, I just realised that I can't actually make this as its too early in the morning AFTER my gf's work x'mas party. Sorry guys, I'd normally love to come, but I suspect that I'll still be hungover or legally still over the limit.



                  Next time? I'll keep an eye out on this thread/sub-group for more macquarie pass weekend runs.
