Hey everyone! Since the weather has been nothing but beautiful these past few weeks, we have decided to take advantage of the weather and hold a spirited drive from Sydney to Jervis Bay. Heres everything you need to know about the drive, hope you can all make it!
Sydney to Jervis Bay
Saturday 2nd November, 2013
Sydney to Stanwell Park
◦ Meeting point 1: Krispy Kreme, Orange Grove Road, Liverpool @ 8:30am (departure 9am for Loftus Oval)
◦ Travel Time: approx 40mins
◦ Expected time of Arrival: 9:45am at Loftus Oval
◦ Meeting Point 2: Loftus Oval, Princess Highway, Loftus @9:45am (departure 10am for Stanwell Tops)
◦ Travel time: approx 30mins
◦ Expected time of arrival: 10:30am at Stanwell tops
◦ Routes: Down heathcote road onto princess highway, entering Royal National Park to Stanwell tops
Stanwell Tops to Jervis Bay
◦ Departure from Stanwell: 10:45am
◦ Travel Time: Approximately 2 Hrs
◦ Expected Time of Arrival: 12:45pm @ Jervis Bay
◦ Routes: Princess Highway
We will be stopping at Huskinsons to grab something to eat and have a breather. We will also be visiting some of the beaches around the area, but this will be decided on the day.
What To Bring
◦ Chairs, picnic rugs, eskies for your drinks, beach ball etc for the beach if needed, if you wish to swim bring swimmers, snacks, sunglasses, sunscreen, hats etc etc
IMPORTANT NOTES:
◦ Drive safely and watch your speed! Remember, your not the only one driving, so please watch the cars in front and behind you.
◦ All is welcome bring your friends, family or partners but please follow the rules and be on your best behaviour throughout each drive. If you are taking friends/family etc please be responsible for those attendees as their behaviour will reflect on yourself
◦ Each driver and their passengers are responsible for themselves. Organisers are not liable for any incidents that may occur throughout this drive.
◦ No speeding, burnouts or hooning! There are plenty of unmarked/marked patrol units along these roads, as well as speed cameras. Please drive at a safe limit and follow all road rules.
◦ If you have a walkie talkie, please bring them to the drive. This will help quickly notify drivers that you have been stuck at traffic, got lost or to warn others of marked/unmarked vehicles around the area.
