Makes me sick. Interesting that their cars are LHD. I wonder if they just went straight through turn 6 due to late braking or mechanical failure or stepped out in early/mid-corner.
That's 2 fatalities, one at Lakeside, one at QR, that have happened while I've been involved in track driving here. It's a real eye-opener. You're right, Nat, they say that QR is the safer track, but at 210 km/h, I guess no track is safe.
I've been looking at press helicopter video footage. It appears that the car went straight through turn 6, probably didn't even begin the turn, and headed directly for the back wall at the end of the gravel. The entire front end of the car doesn't exist. Head-on with the cement wall. How does that happen?! Brake failure??
