Whats the rules associated with this?? in terms of are we allowed to come along park up, go for a wander, come back an hour or so later?? I may have a soccer game to attend just up the river (11am i think), would be cool to be able to attend both.

BTW we have have fully functioning Coffee machine at the venue with real coffee.
One of the members does the graphics for Cibo.
The Torrens Parade Ground will be the parking venue for the day (come and go as you please).
Once parked on grounds vehicles are unable to move due to Adelaide City Council rules.- Ben

Yea I think the leave time would also determine if I enter mine in or not. Would be good to atleast entery car to be judged

This year’s Volksfest Dinner will be held in the Courtyard at the Maid of Auckland Hotel, 926 South Road Edwardstown. The food is very good, prices are reasonable and we can order meals and drinks from the bar. The Courtyard is a private room so it will provide the perfect venue. Parking, and the entrance to the Courtyard are at the rear, accessible from Angus Avenue. The date is Friday, November 22nd, and we’ll get underway at 7pm.

Saturday night, November 23rd, will see the 4, 6, Rotary and Turbo Nationals at Adelaide International Raceway, Port Wakefield Road, Virginia. Well known VW drag racers including Rod Penrose, Andrew Ermel and David O’Connor will be racing and their cars will be on display at Volksfest 2013 the next day.
Qualifying starts in the morning, with racing getting underway late afternoon. Mid-afternoon will be a great time to get there.
We are currently organising a concession for club members as well as a dedicated parking spot for VEC cars inside....
Club members and Volkswagen enthusiasts are welcome.

Whereabouts is the marshalling point Ben?
The bureau forecast for Sunday is currently for a shower or two. Depending on how miserable it looks like it'll be, I may not bring the car in, although I'll still come along to check it out.

I'll probably just come for a look. If cars have to be in by 9:30 and out after 3:30 it's certainly a whole day commitment.

Understand Maris - just it's a balancing act with young kids etc. Half-day is doable but a full day out of the weekend is starting to push the friendship. Plus I wouldn't be entering to win any prizes - mainly support you guys with your event and add another car that's a bit different to your average soccer mum car
Understand the challenges with running the event at the location you've chosen isn't conducive to coming along for the morning. There's always plusses and minuses with every location and you're never going to be able to please everybody.
