How many cars are you expecting? And how many watercooled VWs?

If there's not too many recent Golfs, I might bring my Mk6 GTI along.

Last year our entries come around the 90-100 mark.
I would say 5% to 10% would be H20.

We have now added two new catergories.

-Watercooled to 2000 Standard
-Watercooled to 2000 Modified
-Watercooled from 2001 Standard
-Watercooled from 2001 Modified

And, will those trophies have a picture etc. of an aircooled VW?

Well, if there are only going to be 5-10 watercooled VWs in show, those are pretty good odds really.

Not that I'd want to enter my car for judging... it's just a daily driver Golf. I'd just be happy to park it on the lawn at Elder Park.

Yes good odds for a trophy and about the only chance for a photo shoot in Elder Park

Yes four H20 trophy catergories for Volksfest.

My understanding is it will be the poster on a trophy above minus advertising writing - not sure what the trophy looks like.

At the meeting last night we had an up!, my Jetta, B7 Passat V6, Golf 6 TDI, Amarok & a Audi Q7 - a new Polo has just been purchased also. So I know 2 out of the 7 above will be in attendance, others may surprise by entering.

Thanks for the info Ben. Question - what time is the cut-off for arrivals on the day? We do have a VWW cruise scheduled for that day, so I suspect I'd need to forego that if I was to attend.

Early cruise???

We'd struggle to get people together that early in the morning, and we'd need coffee regardless before any cruise. Cars may get dirty also.

We do have a few options. We could defer the cruise a week/fortnight. Those who are interested in parking on Elder Park could miss the cruise, get to Volksfest by, say, 9:30, and do a coffee meet at 10 before the show starts. If a cruise does go ahead, it could end up at Volksfest and we could do a lunch meet, before checking out the show.

Given the (relatively) low number of watercooled VWs, and the location, I'm actually quite tempted. Bit of a rare event really.

OK so next question is when are cars allowed to leave?

I'm guessing the ACC has a window where they don't want any vehicle movements.
