Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    QLD Townsville meet

    I have a new mk7 TDI on order and I was wondering how to start a golf/vw meet up here... There are a lot of nice VW's here and I think it would be good to bring a bit of class to a toyota and Holden overrun city.. Cheers Alex

    It would be good however I don't think many of the guys in Townsville are apart of this forum or vwgolf.net either unfortunately, I'm originally from Townsville and I know of a few euro boys that would also love to be apart of it, most drive BMW's however, and I'd gladly take a drive up if it was big enough and on the right weekend

    In terms of starting one up, it's best to just get out and try talking to some of the golf's you see driving around and see how you go and try and get something going

      As an ex Polo GTI driver i would be keen to tag along and check out what is happening in the vw world again....if you can put up with a frenchie amongst all the chermans

          I would like anyone who has a love for all things euro to come along. I'm thinking a Townsville to mackay day trip on a weekend that suits most people. I'm going to try and get in contact with some people with VW's and see what we can make happen.

            I was thinking of going and having a chat to the Townsville dealership to see if they would send an email to vw owners about it.

            Any ideas?? I think getting the drivers of the top 3 ( Audi,BMW,Benz ) would also be a good idea

              I highly doubt they would due to privacy issues, also there are a lot of guys that no longer use the dealers specially Benz and BMW as they rip offs
