Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I've booked this one in. Pretty sure it will be sans family though (2x one year olds at dyno day just isn't going to work). I'll be needing the 4WD dyno as mine is the 191FSI Superb (they should have called it the "Indecisive" as that is how the DSG feels).

Re: Dyno day (morning) - 8am saturday 21 september

SA Hot Hatches facebook club had our dyno day there twice now. most recently about 2-3 months ago.. was good, apart from a terribly cold/rainy day (the turbo cars loved it though)... Brett is super friendly and a great guy. They've fitted some of my parts (sway bars, superpro control arms, VWR lower subframe mount)..DSG worked fine too

There won't be a lot of time for "tweaking" between runs. Each car will have 3 runs and only a minute or two between each to keep things moving (otherwise we'll be there all day). The main aim of the day is to find out where your car is at.

If you want an individual tuning session you may be better off to book in for a separate time. However having said that it would be great to have a Mk2 out for a run... and there may well be someone that can help do a "drive-way" tune before running it on the dyno.

Just wanting to make sure you're clear about what you're going to get out of the day.

You're welcome. I think there may be a couple of Audis out - just haven't registered yet.

In terms of numbers I'll have to talk to the dyno shop but we may need to cap the number of cars (whoever thought that would happen???)
