I was thinking that we should have a meet up or some form of cruise.

I used to participate in eurofordclub cruises. We would have 5 or 10 fiestas and a couple Foci. Usually a great day, noone was out to prove themselves a hero but we all had lots of fun. Old pac runs, wisemans ferry. Lunch somewhere. Photos.

Think a couple of them had dyno days, not that there was much to put out in a fiesta.
Put mine on a dyno away from the public eye, I think mine made a mind blowing 61.3 front wheel kw haha. That was modified too....

    Opinions on meetup?

Sunday is always good. Been part of many forums and Sundays are the way to go Early morning runs are always good... that way you beat lazy Sunday drivers... but that's providing I don't end up drinking saturday night

Make a thread in the events section, you'd really be surprised at the amount of people willing to turn up at these things.

Wisemans and OPH are good, but Natio down to Macq Pass is sooooo much better. Roads are super smooth and I prefer the Pies at Robbo, then the ones at PITS

Na seriously lets try and get as many Syd Polo GTI drivers to a drive day. I don't know bout the rest of you but I don't mind 350-400km drive days, what bout the rest of you? Also how many people have radio's?

I'd also be keen for this.

Would be sweet to see a row of Poloers cruising down the road.

only trouble with sundays on the old pac are the cops. natio park is good but its such a short run. up north > down south imo

That's why you continue onto Macq Pass, which can be a little bit heavy on the traffic, but there is always Kanga Valley as well

Even just a leisurely drive through the national park stopping at wollongong for fish and chips is always nice. Everyone knows the road pretty well and with a predetermined meet up point, it means that people can still travel as a group, but if the drive gets cut up then we still know where we are going. Also, I'm not much of a fan of driving hard on cruise days and like to hang around the back of the pack and enjoy the drive

I propose sometime early to mid feb early on a Sunday Morning, that way we can have lunch and get back home at a reasonable time/not burn up a whole day.

Sunday 3 or 10 Feb sound good? Meet up at around 9 at Homebush, down centenary drive, follow down king georges road then hit up natio park?

Also, in the event a drive should be planned, will I be the only non gti owner? I have enough of an inferiority complex as it is!
