QLD VW Dyno Day

Hello again all fellow dubbers,
This year Leon's motors will be holding a VW Dyno Day on June 1. The day runs from 8am through till 3pm. There is food and drinks available there being prepared by the VW Drivers Club of Qld.
Spots for watercooled cars are limited to 10 so make sure you get in early to reserve your spot.

It is a fun day out including Hard park and lots of great VW's of all generations.

VWDC is predominantly aircooled so i can only assume that is why.

No this is not the case. This event is organised by VW Magazine Australia editor Craig Hughes,
The reason why there are only 10 spots for watercooled is because most are front wheel drive and require alot more tie down points and is more time consuming. If the runs go quicker than planned then it will be opened up to whoever is there that wants a run.
It will be a good day.

Just thought i should ask since the R/Tig/Touareg owners would have to run in 2wd mode.

Went to this a few years ago. Great to see some really high powered aircooled beasts on the dyno plus they're usually owned by some really nice folk. My only complaint is the size of the fan and where it's positioned in the dyno cell. Not good for wee Polo's.

I will call and find out whether they have upgraded the fans yet. It has been 2 years so who knows. If there is any information you guys need then fire away.

As for Costs and how many runs, from memory it is $40 and you get 2-3 runs

Was a good show of air cooled last time I went but water cooled were not really welcomed

Hi, just wondering if this day is on and are there any places left? If it is then this will be my first so I don't know what to expect. I have just installed a Superchips Bluefin and had issues from day one. Would just like to know what I am running and if there are any issues? Can I expect to get these from one of these days?
