VWs + Barefoot Bowls LOCK IT IN, not just an expression of interest any more, it's on!
We did this years ago and it was a fun day with a good turnout (one of the first public sightings of Chris' amazing VR6 with skis attached, and was early days for the Mk6 crew, and a few friendly Euro and JDM gatecrashers), weekend session, barefoot bowls for the eager and a beer and bite to eat for the observers.
Last time we had it at Indooroopilly, which is a nice spot with a covered carpark, but Toowong Bowls (Gailey Rd Taringa, close to UQ/RE/Regatta) has reopened and is a really chilled place, it's like a park that you can drink at, great atmosphere. Only issue is that the carpark is gravel, but is a decent size and not too dusty (and let's face it will look badass in pictures), and the VWs would be in sight of the bowlers.
Sunday, at Toowong, April 21st 1 PM.
Family friendly and reasonably central.
Also, I know for a fact the manager has a VR6, and had a Mk2 GTI... so it's safe.
VW + VAG + EUDM + eager enthusiasts of fine motors and accurate shoeless bowling.
