great fun yet again One of the best ones I've been to as well. I still prefer the wet one (v13), more fun with some gentle lift-off oversteer hehe.

Unfortunately nearly everywhere Dad went he got kicked out of for safety reasons so there won't be many photos from good angles like usual. Also, I won't be able to upload many because of only having access to 4G internet, so no onboard footage from me I'm afraid. Also Dad was talking to some of the people who were going on for the proper sprint thingy on after our happy laps, and they were saying they couldn't believe how we were allowed out without helmets at the pace we were going at :/

Best happy laps yet. My brother in law came to visit from San Diego, and we had a ball tooling the Fabia around.

I would love to see another SKODA come to play one day soon?

All up, anotherfun day out, little bit of traffic at the start but it cleared up and everone was well behaved.
Shame Migs hit the cones and got pulled in.

Also good to see we were allowed to open it up on the straight in the dry.

Later, in the pits, I was talking to the QR guy who briefed us. He said our lot were very well behaved. He said they expected some sillyness from the group that followed us.

I was talking to one of the QR guys afterwards and he said the same thing, our group is good to work with because we follow the rules and no one pushes too hard (probably because we have pricey daily's that are on the track)

Awesome video (of me) What a great day we had. I think I might go on a diet myself - imagine how quick that little 1.4 might be if there was thirty kilograms less of me

Quite a few people asked me about when I might mod my Fabia today. Money first, tax time? then maybe a trip to VA Garage / Carformance / Hardings for bushes/bars/ and APR

Anyone else notice some distinct wear on the left side of their tyres today...we pushed it well up a notch I think

one of the spectators in our group said they thought someone blew something - there was a puff of smoke and they pulled in shortly after...?

A yellow car they said, I only remember Rhys' car being yellow, and it certainly wasn't him

and the video shows at least two toher little 'moments' of excitement handled well by everyone nearby at the time

!!!!! I was out for the whole time, I hit a rev limiter by accident (thought I could make it to the next corner without changing up...) on one occasion and that usually puffs out smoke from the exhaust.

The only bad thing is now both my windows are now damaged....I think it's actually the salt air down at the Gold Coast that has killed my electric windows. Gotta love the juddering, super slow mo speed and scraping sounds....

Good news was that my fuel consumption was only 12.7l/100km going round in that half hour.

Sounds like we missed a cracker of a morning. Was certainly a great temperature today. 12.7, half ya luck. I left QR y'day reading 22.7, bwahaha. Drained the tank in 235kms. But actual economy for the day, 17.5l/100kms.
