DOVW Report

Friday

Plenty of hype leading up to the show so was going to be fun for sure. Not the same having a DOVW weekend with out a car but Mum's Mk3 will do.
BBQ at Dub Addiction had a solid turnout. Pity not everyone who RSVP'd to eat didnt come but oh well. Good to see Andrew Robinson and Gill from Tassie.
Some fun out on the Highway in Mum's car and most people ooohhh and ahhh that AP has too much power!

Saturday

Id got home at 2am so a good sleep in til 10am was awsome. I went to work for a few hours and then helped my buddy finish off his '67 bug. (Dang you 6v) quick catch up with the boys at the Glen and theh Luft party.

Sunday

I dont mind getting up early for a show and a can of Mother helps kick start things. Dove a Volvo to a VW show wtf. Awsome awsome turnout of Water pumpers, very social show and very glad I put sun screen on. Thanks to anyone who carried stuff for me while I hoped along!
Highlights:
- Porsche dials on the Mk1 cabby. Show glad you got them now...
- Pete Jones Mk1
- The wicked turnout of Amaroks. WOW
- Talking shop with all the crew
- Driving home from the show to the Glen.

Well done to all the interstaters young and old. Anyone who came along, laughed and had fun.

I had a great time! Long drive down from Wagga Wagga with James from Albury. Arrived at Dub Addiction about 10pm Friday night. Got beaten by a Nissan X-Trail on the prinny. Cheers to Dylan and Kirstim for the roof over our heads.
Enjoyed the rest of the weekend scrubbing my tyres and ruining my guards in Melbourne.
Show was a great turnout, they tried to park me in with the aircooled but I wanted none of that lol.
Managed to take home the trophy for Best in Class in the "Modified Golf, Mark 3 & 4". Managed to get beached and do a skid in the awards ceremony too!
Great weekend. Stoked to get my first trophy. Would go again 7.8/10 A++
