I know it might seem a bit dreamy, but me and Reece (Vdubin) have been discussing this for a few months and after the awesome time everyone had this weekend in Canberra, I really want to put an EOI out there for anyone who wants another Car Show on the east coast slotted perfectly in somewhere between Nationals and GAD, or similar spacing to other shows - that we hold it in Albury. 3 Hours from Melbourne and Canberra, 5 Hours from Sydney, just over an hour from Wagga and just over 2 hours from Bendigo.
Through the contacts I've made here I am fairly confident I can get the best spot in town to host it - a square on the main street that is often used for small car shows. I am also confident I can get the backing of the local VW/Audi Garages for funding to cover insurance in return for them having advertising space (similar to GAD). I also will be contacting other small businesses for similar contributions and also really want to pursue the idea of having a raffle - with prizes such as detailing products, VAG merchandise and maybe even universal parts like LCR lips.
The only problem we may encounter is getting people to drive here - there is hardly anyone in Albury itself willing to put their cars on show so most of the exhibitors would be from the cities. So the million dollar question is - if I can secure all of the above, and your car is on show in the main square of a town of 100,000 people - would you drive here!?

albury town is pretty good on the nightlife, have made the trip there a number of weekends just to hit the town and its good fun
