13th of jan 2008 cruise kinglake-flowerdale-toolangi cruise

ok boys. enough talk.
Heres whats ive proposed for 13th of January.

Date:
13th of January 2008

Meet point:
Caltex servo / tram stop garden centre carpark



Time:
10:30am sharp! for immediate departure



The plan is to head out along diamond creek rd towards kinglake which in parts is a very testing piece of road! tight tight corners! A road definately made for mk1s and 2s

From there we are gonna head west towards whittlesea then up to flowerdale. Some gorgeous sweeping bends up along that stretch



After passing thru flowerdale the plan is to stop and regroup at yea. I figure itd be a nice place to stop for lunch as well being a biggish town.

have a bit of a chin wag and a munch or a coffee and it will be time to cruise back towards healesville with a detour thru toolangi forrest. Another short but really sweet bit of twisty road.




I figure we will regroup again in healesville somewhere and then see where we go from there. If people are keen we can check out a few more roads. Whoever wants to head home can just cruise back down the maroondah hwy




What to bring:

-UHF radio if you have one! We used these on the last big cruise and they were very handy.

-At least 200-250kms worth of petrol

-Some cash for lunch if u want it

-A good attitude


who is welcome:

Everyone is free to come along. We have even had non VAG cars at previous events. Heroes are asked to leave their capes at home for the day though

yeah it would be good to have just a general running thread. I closed that one cos it had the poll and stuff.

I was thinking of maybe running a high country cruise in early feb sometime maybe? get it in during summer sorta thing. but sure start another thread to discuss it. Lets fill this cub meets section until they give us our own specific vic sections
