I did the Grand Ridge Road from end to end in my company car (a SP23 before I returned it). The unsealed areas would not be fun in a Golf.
Another couple of options might be Mt Baw Baw or Mt Buffalo.

Hope I can make which ever one you decide to do.

hehe keep ya pants on. working on some ideas. Ive been talking with some of the guys from eurospec.com.au about doing a combined cruise to boost up the numbers a bit. Are you guys happy if we are joined by other euro marques? Eurocca are also going to be announcing a cruise on this date soon as well. I wanna see what they get up to as well.

Be patient though. Hoping to give at least a months notice. Ill post up a new thread with definate details when the time comes.

Ill probly need to drive whichever route I choose as well b4 the date to make sure I know where we are going properly. So if 1 or 2 people are interested in a nice monday scout cruise at some point lemme know.

Provided they aren't rebadged opel barinas and fully sick calibras, then I'm all good.

I wouldn't worry too much about numbers though, its not necessarily what counts.

I'm up for anything n: within reason! car is still stock suspension so nothing too hairy, I'm just hoping to be able to make it this time. I havn't been able to get to one yet. Did a cruise with hubbys car club yesterday up to a car show and had a ball, cant wait to do it with my car.

Arthurs seat is a great drive and the restaurant up there is supposed to be great, can even stop for a movie at drive ins on way down if anyone interested

Had a look at Mt Baw Baw today. Great one day cruise for one or two cars but not as wide as Lake Mountain.
After having done it I would not recommend it for a larger group.
If anyone wants to have a look, its about 2 hours from Stud Rd heading down the freeway.
