Anyone keen to go along? I've been wanting to make the last few and have had last minute problems every time, but looks like I will be all sweet for this one. Losing my license soon so this will likely be the last meet I'll be able to make in a while.

I'll be out of the country for this one but to be honest i don't know if i would have gone anyway, i went to the last one and it was okay but there is only so 10-15 yr old jap imports i can look at being hard-parked before i lose interest.

As an aside Ben, you can still drive at happy laps without a licence as far as I am aware, just need to get the gf to drive you there

Fair enough, ive never been to a downshift meet yet so just want to take a look around and see what its all about. Rolling in with a bunch of euros sounds fun too :p These probably arent everyones cup of tea (not to generalise or anything, but I can see why it wouldnt have the same appeal to some of the more mature members with stage one sleeper mk6s and such as it would to the younger people with cheap ****ty older cars slammed on pretty wheels) so not expecting a whole heap of interest, just putting it out there.


Dont think im even going to do happy laps while the license is gone, gf cant drive manual and noone else really wants to drive my car anymore after seeing me getting completed raped by the police for it

Just a note guys:
There will be police there for this one. I will still be attending (Skyjacked still) But hopefully you guys won't have any problems.

I reckon as long as everyone is friendly, there won't be any problems.

Premeet sounds good to me.

And yeah, had heard police have been invited. I figure they cant take any more points from my license so whatever haha. Hopefully they shouldn't cause any problems for anyone who isnt ripping skids on their way out. Even if they do start trying to hand out defects I figure theyll probably pick on the jap cars before us anyway, especially if we just take it easily and drive safely. I think it will be fine

That's the thing,
If as the 'Euro' Scene acts politely to them, hopefully they'll pick on the more stereotypical JDMKIDYO kinda cars?

Also, instead of turning left out of the gates and past everyone, head right. Should draw less attention.

I wouldn't be phased by the police, we invited them and have spoken to them. They will probably only cut loose on those who feel it is expected that they skid to leave.

Should be a good meet anyway.

hmmm, bens last meet huh?.... i have a wedding at 12.... fml.... I don't know how, but it seems that every meet is organised on days I have **** on would like to make more contact with some people but life's too hectic! i'm out for this one too, sorry mate :/

Haha thats cool. Chances are something will come up for me just before the meet as has happened for like the last 5 I've wanted to get to, these downshift meets seem to be a curse for my little car haha, something always breaks or the police put me off the road Hoping to break the chain of pre downshift bad luck this time though
