Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

lol Rob, none of this sillyness! VIC dub scene is one of the most open minded, indiscriminate, and accommodating communities i've ever come across.

it's not like we're crashing a girl's 18th birthday party (apparently 29 - my age - is too old for that... WTF?!?!).

Sorry guys, my comment was tongue in cheek. Still keen and I'm all for a Sat leave time. Just can't see myself getting tanked and posing naked while only wearing a pink tutu though. Yes that pic has almost gone viral.

WTF there's not going to be an 18th birthday while up there!! How can I get practice being a dirty old man??

As much as id love to take the mk1, i think a wheel will fall off, grill will fling off, engine will over heat, exhaust hinge will break, exhaust will fall off, speedo stop working, boot will open, headlights stop working, engine over heat, oil burn too quickly, top up water every 10 k's, gear lever breaks, seats un-hinge, seat belt stop working, bonnet will open, electricals fail, heater not work, wheels bearings play up, boots crack, engine mount break, timing go off, fender falls off, antenna break, roof lining falls apart, dash comes off, fuel guage stops working, and getting attacked by aliens and ultimately plummeting to my death.

So i think its in my best interest to come as a passenger How much $$ we talking here?

                    Isn't that just a normal day driving a Mk1 as a daily.
