Yeah unfortunately I kinda agree... would have been nice to see more golfs and polos there. Definately a club emphasis on the classics. Still a nice day out though

I did hear someone talking about a GTI club at one point which I hadn't come across before. Apparently they did a group run up to the Northam day earlier in the year. Any ideas where this is, web address etc??? I thought I'd found most of the forums already haha

I expected to see more new VWs there too. The new-crew certainly were outnumbered, but I enjoy seeing where VW has come from.

      Some photos (more here)

And Geoff_GTI, the WA VW Performance group is here.

How massively awesome was DEF DUB?

Those shots are alot better then mine, I really lost all inspiration to shoot with so few water dubs around

It was a good day, at least I met few of you guys. Should catch up some time soon and go on a cruise.

Balcanac, there was a trophy for you just after you left, i think it was for best engine bay.

I hope you are joking! There were 2 MK2s there. Heaps of aircoolers, maybe 10-15 watercoolers. Not what i expected. Still a nice day though

A bit more info & photos

Thanks for all the feedback. The club was a bit disappointed with the turnout of waterpumpers too but thanks go to you guys for turning up and glad you enjoyed the day. But let me say that the day is only orgaised by the club but is open to anyone with a VW or VW powered. About half of the total turnout were club members and non club members picked up 10 of the 18 trophies on offer. Maybe more advertising, or even sooner is required. We had an aeroplane turn up one year, a Knombi with a V6 Capri motor in it and a Beetle with a Mazda 13b rotory.

There is a group of members who have R32's and the Golf & Polo GTi's that go off and do their own thing, but as a subgroup of the club and are therefore covered by public liability when on a designated run.

There are some great photos from the day, so here's a link to some more.

There's an overnight run to Bridgetown in Feb if anyone is interested.
