Queensland Raceway Happy Laps (v.5) 27th May 2012 (breakfast)
I will have mine on me. Will be dataloging the drive.
You can have it for few minutes afterwards (with laptop).
Look out for Blue R32Turbo MKV, girl driver.
I will take passenger seat
R32 Turbo. Will be great to see how that goes out there, guessing will be quick.
Re the number of laps, given its the national circuit, I'm guessing many of us will be doing around 1.20 - 1.30 min laps. I was doing 66 sec pre tune on the sprint, so add the 2 straights. Though as said, no timing so you'll be circulating for 30mins, certainly add a cool down lap every handful, punch around in a higher gear to let the engine breath and tyres and brakes to freshen up. If you want practise with lines, follow others to see their lines, than try your own. For turns 1 and 2, many people turn in to early and run wide. And the hairpin onto the front straight, spin their tyres the whole way round adding heat and running wide

Which equals about 20 laps - if you were going flat out for the 30 minutes, which is unlikely
Just a bit more "housekeeping" info - In previous years when I went to QR for sprints, we were advised that if we got stuck in the gravel it was too bad and we needed to "extract ourselves" - hence we would all take snatch straps etc to help each other. I contacted QR regarding logistics of getting stuck in the gravel traps now, and they advised that there's no problem with assisting in removing anyone from gravel traps if they get stuck. Probably pertinent though, that they may not get to you immediately, so you may have to miss a bit of track time watiing - good motivation to stay out of the gravel trap!
