          • Hey all,

Just a quick update for the next meet and cruise. Still currently waiting on an answer to the whole araluen plan. Will let you guys know as soon as we hear anything. Got a quick route plan going at the moment. Will decide on some catchup points along the way if you guys are happy with the route. Its quite a long route but with some good drives hopefully (includes tunnel run and full length of mundaring weir and canning road) so please let us know what you think. Don't really want this cruise to change too much like the last one did. Dates still looking to be the 27th.

            Proposed route

And just as a feeler, i was wondering how many people would be interested in a track day at the RAC track near the airport. From what I've heard it will be $600 to hire the track out for around 2-3hrs of driving with a max? (Will call and find out soon) of 12 people which would make it $50 each + petrol (and from what I've heard a full tank ha-ha). Let us know if you guys are keen cause i think it would be good fun even if i put it as a separate event so we still have the cruise for people who don't want to go.

So please give some feedback if you guys can would be nice to know what you guys think or what could be changed or anything to do with it.

            • looks good luke. Does Araleun have an entry fee? might be worth researching so people are aware.

              27th you mention is May

the track day sounds good, but I suggest you start a different thread for it

                • im a part of another car forum who are organising a tuning arvo on the RAC track. Max 12 people, $65 each. Should be fun. The thing is, the organiser will have to pay for the track and then get people to pay him back. No everyone is reliable, and honestly i wouldn't organise something like that.
But if someone decides to organise it, count me in!!

I love the route, i have driven this exact route many times, its awesome!!
The only thing is the starting point. It works well for me, its 5 min from my house, but there are a lot of people living SOR, not sure if they would want to drive up the freeway and then down again. Its a nice place for a meet tho, massive parking and great photo opportunity

Oh i see cheating on us. Yeah that's true. I wouldn't mind paying for it.... I trust people...stupidly maybe. Might be a way to organize something i.e payment before it over paypal or something just to make sure those who pay should turn up. Should happen so ill count you as one. Don't see you giving up an opportunity to go fast. Would buck come?

Cool so not too long? Yeah well ill just have to make the next one south of the river then. Can win them all as last time proved. Thats why i chose it, should be nice and empty on a Sunday due to it being a gov job. Good surrounds and plenty of parking. And not a bad exit either.

And gareth ill make a thread for the track day later today after i attempt "study"

                    • I would be keen to do a track day and would probably know a couple of other VW owners that might be too. I will wait and see how the Track day thread progresses.

As for the May run, I am out. Waiting for a couple of things to be done to the car before I am happy with it.
Depending on the date of the next run, I will probably be in for that one

                        • I should be able to make this run if you dont mind a newbie with an Audi comming along . Will need to organize the day off once you confirm the date though.

The roads you've picked arent bad at all, esp the area around Mundaring Weir. Ive driven then quite alot in my old MX-5, and I know Geoff has driven them with us on occasion too.

As for Areluen, there is an entry fee of $4 per Adult
