ok, today started like any other ordinary day (woken up by Cassie with eggs and bacon on toast with coffee) before heading 2 minutes down the road to the meeting point. Once there it was great to see some new faces attending a cruise/meet for the first time along with a range of cars (no r32's though???).
Perfectly sunny day down in beautiful (if not sometimes dangerous) Eagleby.
Wives (Cassie took photos on her iPhone), girlfriends, friends and dog all took part in today's festivities!
Then we all got our now somewhat regular (and motherly) briefing from Ben and Chris before heading through the scary underbelly of Beenleigh and heading towards glorious Mt Tamborine.
Then we arrive at Knoll Park for some fun, food and festive banter (ok, it was a wide range of banter!)
Some found parking easy!
Other were not so sure where to park? (ok, so it was full and people were leaving possibly because we were all uncouth and dangerous looking)
Then, like usual, food took over the male brain and it was on! The BBQ that is. Great selection of food!

Then, as i said, people started standing/sitting around talking shop amongst other fabulous topics such as the weather, cars, views, games, tv shows, etc...
Speaking of views!
Then, after some discussion, most people decided it would be a fantastic idea to go for another drive through the twisties (food reference!) although Chris wasn't so keen and said something about bailing (whinger) before being talked around to lead us all astray...
So we headed towards Binna Burra and Beechmont for scenic stroll through the countryside...
Through some roadworks we found a great place to pull up (in the middle of the road) to wait for the stragglers (ok, they got caught by a traffic light to be fair!)
More twisties followed (damn i'm getting hungry!) before we (I) learnt of siome drama with the lone bora (yes, Josh). The Bora has had a rough life and it showed when apparently (hearsay) the gear linkage decided to give up and call it a day.
So I left the texting duties to Cassie and continued on, safe in the knowledge the tow truck was on it's way (ok, i didn't slow down either!)
Thanks once again goes to Ben and Chris for their employer's time and, oh wait, I mean to Ben and Chris for their hard work and effort in organising this and putting together the run sheet last minute... look forward to the next one!
