Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC Targa High Country final stage @ Mt Buller - Sun 6 Nov

As part of the monthly Melb hills cruise, a few of us plan to head up to Mt Buller to see the final stage of this year's Targa High Country.

    Entry and parking is free.

If you want to start early and go for a nice long cruise on the way there, full details on the cruise meet location and departure time can be found in this vvw thread: http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...nth-61825.html

    * 7:20am meet at Knox shopping centre carpark right off Burwood Hwy, departure is at 7:30am *

Entrant List: High Country Entrant List

Those coming along need to get to Mansfield before 12pm, as the road from Mansfield to Mt Buller will be closed between 12 and 5:30pm. The targa entrants will line up at the base of Mt Buller and start the final segment one at a time at 30sec intervals, which should give us a steady stream of cars for at least 1 - 1.5hrs up at the top of Mt Buller .. the cars apparently exceed 200kph as they go past the resort carparks.

yeah todd - love the monthly cruises, however unfortunately this one falls on the DOVW weekend - with peeps traveling in from interstate on the friday / saturday, festivities / bbq's / carwash & chinwag sessions on the saturday, and then a big cruise up to yarra glen on the sunday morning.

      you should come along!

I really want to check out this year's Targa so I'll kick off at Knox at 7:30 next Sunday.

.. sorry fellas, enjoy the meet and make sure to post up plenty of pics of scantily-clad ladies washing those fine vehicles to mirror finish
