          Brimway, where were you?

          dark, where were you?

DonJuan - would a tuesday/thursday night in two weeks suit better? - we have changed nights occasionally

          Team_v thanks for coming

maca - your like the vww bad smell, always there and with something to say

madglf3 - its only sunday of the warwick drag weekend that clashes with oxenfords show, no show at the meet either?

Guy_H - your welcome to join again, it was noticed that there was no apr representation this year at action day, couldnt hurt having you there to back my push to get something motorsport happening for the vw crowd

bwen - the vw drivers club meets are mid week, 2nd wednesday of the month, doesnt that count as what you want to do? oh, and you can get dinner there too!

tony mitchell - interesting how older owners also have newer toys... its a common occurance!

james dean - your in too deep now, you said you want an old beetle - prepare for full conversion to the darkside guard murderer!

weeds - come to meetings, your smack bang in the middle of what people have in the club by your description

bandur - seriously read your post, and the rest of the posts on the clubs activities. they (general club meets) are once a month on the 2nd wednesday each month!!! -if hanging around in carparks with nothing bigger is your ultimate goal, continue doing what you do.

vr6pitcrew - thankyou for speaking more influencially to the younger crowd & kicking them in the arse for the first few meets to get there, the kids all seem to come somewhat willingly now & dont have to sit in the naughty corner.

ironman.... never post **** like that again, i actually clicked on it

soooooooo....... who else wants to say they arent represented & theirs too much aircooled bias????

the club/committee is mostly older yes. why?
they bother to get up all year & help out with running things
they give a **** about the club/scenes existance
they dont sit on forums crying about not having anything. they make the shows & stuff happen!!!

why are things done they way they are?
because over the 20+ years the club has been running theres been a constant evolutionary process to make things run better/easier
because people who show up to meetings/cruises etc regularily are known to the club and usually have something worthwhile to say as they have learnt how things work and have given justified opinions after observing the inner workings of the club over the years.

bets on this wont make a difference but i can only try to explain huh?

now im off to go work on my commodore then drive my tiguan to work because im an aircooled vw only kinda guy just like every other club member
VWDCQ - president, attempting to get air & water together to keep dubism alive
STIDUB - my beetle, coilovers, EJ20T, LSD, work in progress
Tiguan - daily, tow car 40,000km in one year of awesome driving.

i'm hoping to free up wednesday nights more in the future to cater for this but as an associate in what seems to be australia's only busy architectural practise, it all depends on the day. with work, it doesn't really matter what day of the week. the weekend before the show i worked both days 8-6... i'm drastically hoping we can get some good staff and i can free up some more of my own time very soon...

i will control as much as i can control to make sure i can get to some of these meetings in the future...

No I didn't show at the meet as I'd mentioned in the other thread. Masters trumps a Vw
Meeting if they're both at the same time. I do give a **** about Volkswagens and 'the scene' though. I'll aim to be there again. When's the next meeting?

I thought you had said you were doing night studies this semester which i agree takes precedence.

Meetings are apparnetly the second wednesday of each month.

Another thing to bear in mind is that a lot of the watercooled crowd are in their 20's or so which generally means they have jobs/family etc requirements that mean they can't just take time out to go to a car club meeting as you would have done when you were in your late teens.

Alright, I've had enough of the bitching here.

People have lives! We have established that already. People have opinions! Yes, we get that too!

There is no need to single people out and cyber bash them because you feel like they're all talk an no action. It's not called for, by anyone, so give it all up now. I thought most of you were adults. You're behaving like children.

Haters Gonna Hate. Get over it.

                        VWDCQINC CLUB OBJECTIVES
                        1) To foster the good fellowship and further the interests of Volkswagen owners and drivers.
                        2) To promote the Club
                        3) To co-operate with other motor vehicle clubs

What the hell part of this, what we're all doing here, is acurately displaying the nature of our club? I'm ashamed, right now, to be known to be part of any of this.

Action Day is over, so too is this discussion. Anyone who is willing to participate in the running of Action Day 2012, please come to the Committee Meeting that will be held on Wednesday the 29th of September, at 7:30pm at the Morningside Services Club, Wynnum Rd at Morningside. It's right near the train station, so you can't really miss it.

The next General Meeting will preceed the Annual General Meeting and will be held on the second Wednesday evening of October, which will be the 12th of October. The same location applies.

If you can't make it, oh well. We hope to see you around at some point

That's really all there is to this. Let us all put our efforts into maintaining some healthy relationships with fellow enthusiasts and for celebrating and spreading the word of one of our favourite car brands.

If we can't all get over this petty bitchiness, then what the hell are we even trying to communicate for, because it's going NOWHERE!

                        Okay. /Rant.

By the way, I think you all have great opinions and ideas and would love to hear them if you have the time to pass them on.
