Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Following the Dyno runs, there is also the option of heading for a drive afterward for anyone who is interested at the time. Local knowledge amongst the group is substantial so planning a route on the spot won't be a problem.

Hmmmm maybe, i really should fix the oil leak i've got but it would be interesting to see if the car has gotten any slower or if its just me getting used to it. I'll have to check my flight / work rosters and we'll see.

A mate of mine is interested to run his car too, its not a euro but a Jap Kei car

Well I'm out, went to take the bora out to get fuel and the battery in the bora is completely cactus and I won't be able to get one in time to still be able to make my flight guess thats the problem with not having driven it for over a month and forgetting to put the trickle charger on...

Great day Ben! Thanks for taking the time to organise this
Here's my atmo effort amongst all them inline six, V6,V8 and of course 4 turbo German beasts. Managed 119 kW atfw. Not bad considering a Mk6 GTI got about 12kW more while using its built in blower

I wish i could've made this, i ended up getting the battery sorted and car running and was all sorted with an early flight when on the way out to parafield the car died out of nowhere leaving me on the side of the road. Appears that the in-tank fuel pump has died and the second pump cant pump fuel past it :/ Oh well, better then than on the dyno on full song! Sorry i missed it and hope a good day was had by all.

sabloke's Clio is a little beast!

I only managed one run with my GTI on the chipped program - 161fwkw. All other runs were unfortunately using the stock program with exhaust and intake mods - around 135fwkw - which was a bit low I think. I would love to have a few more runs to see whether I could get closer to 170fwkw.

GTI Crow's stock GTI managed around 130fwkw.
