Hi all just thought i put word out for open sprints 14 may QR

See if anyone is interested in doing some laps?

I must say though, I've been going to the track for awhile now and from time to time you see VW Golf GTI's and GTI polo's out there, but I have never seen any golf R or R32's out there ???
It's quite sad since they are the (R), but people that own them baby them so much. I myself would love to see them out and I know you guys would like to see them as well. So I guess this is a call out, come on Mr RRRRR'S. Fancy showing some Mk6 & Mk5 GTI's that you do have some balls not only from the lights, but through some corners as well .

What exactly do you need as a requirement to do these?

I've done a few of these, they are excellent practice days (yes, done them in our R & GTI!). May be doing a few over the next month!

All you need is licence that u can get from QR on the day for $40 1 year . And go on trackattack.com.au to book & pay for the day . It's $175 for Saturday and then your off doing laps.

Also need a helmet and PPE geat though yeah?

All u need is helmet jeans snickers and t shirt . Very safe only overtaking on long straight ,

Dont forget the Long Shirt. basically you need to be covered head to toe in something non flammable. Doesn't need to be full PPE, but again you dont want something that catches on fire.

I'm well keen to do some laps in the GTI, but I've not got a excel to lap around and race in. So far its been a blast trying to kill it...
Was cutting 1.34's on the nat for comparison. lakeside we are down to 66's now.

Okay i am going to look into a helmet and see if i can get the Tig out to one of the upcoming events.
Looks like it will have to be July though as work is caining me at the moment.
