Hey guys, this is a bit short notice - only got details in the last few days:
Margaret River Vintage Stomp 2011
Sunday, 15 May 2011, 11:00am - 4:00pm
Voyager Estate Winery, Margaret River
I have spoken to the organise at Voyager and there is still plent of room for cars to enter the static display. They are expecting about 20 cars so far & a collection of BMW motorbikes. $10 Entry per car covers passengers & free gift pack as per above.
So, is anyone interesting in going down there for the weekend? If you want to enter the display, recommended to arrive at Voyager by 10:30 on Sunday morning to get parked etc. Otherwise possibly could drive down Sat afternoon and stay the night somewhere although I haven't looked at any accommodation options etc.
Some more info here, Margaret River Vintage Stomp 2011 - Voyager Estate, or Google
Geoff.
Edit; I should add, there was some interest in the VW Club for attending, and I think about half dozen Beetles etc are going already.
Margaret River Vintage Stomp 2011
Sunday, 15 May 2011, 11:00am - 4:00pm
Voyager Estate Winery, Margaret River
Vintage Stomp is a day of celebration to mark the end of the grape harvest in Margaret River and the South - West. Local food producers, wineries, breweries, artisans, and the overall community have been committing to the family day fair since 2005. The Margaret River Vintage Stomp Festival Committee was established as a non - profit entity to create this superb annual event. Each year Vintage Stomp has an international wine growing region as its theme. In 2011 the Festival will celebrate the wine growing regions of Germany.
In 2010 Vintage Stomp celebrated California's wine district and included a Cadillac car display, which was very popular. Stomp organisers are approaching the Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen and BMW Clubs in the hope of arranging a German car display for 2011.
Each participating car member will be offered a 2 bottle gift pack (of our Chenin & Girt by Sea) as a token of thanks. In addition, each member (and anyone accompanying them) will, of course, receive free entry to the Festival.
More details can be found on page 8 of the January-February ViaWest.
* If you live in the South West, it’s just around the corner for a day out…
The Vintage Stomp Festival is now less than 1 week away.
