Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

My 1980 1.5 litre Diesel MK1 turbo made 44.3 hp.
Considering that a stock MK1 diesel makes around 29hp, that's a 60-70% power increase simply from bolting a turbo kit onto a tired diesel motor with no other mods. I also filled the dyno room with plenty of diesel black smoke.

My list of thanks numbers quite a few people so I'll try and remember all of them. If I miss you then my humble apologies!!
Big thanks first of all to Peter Page for doing a lot of the leg work this year in getting Dyno Mania off the ground after a 1 year absence. Thank you to Lisa for organising the food side of things plus all the extended Page family for keeping the BBQ rolling along.
Rod Richardson and Troy Alder for their help in the lead up to the event namely the 24-48 hours before trying to get everything sorted including getting cars to run(which was ever so close too)
Leon, Andrew,Michael, Sarah and the rest of the crew from Leons motors who's name I cannot remember!! Your efforts on the day were outstanding and this year was by far the best and smoothest operation we've had yet!! Thanks Guys!!
All of the sponsors who got behind us again and those for the first time as well to support this event which gets bigger and bigger each year!!
Alan Agyik from Das Resto Haus for your continued support as major sponsor of Dyno Mania. Thanks mate for all your support and assistance in making this event what is becoming!!
Craig Hughes from VWMA for helping us with advertising the event through VWMA and for partcipating each year with a different car!!
Polar Freeze Refrigeration aka Wally Penboss for the use of the mobile cold room!!
Special thanks to Matt Berry Motorsport for putting in a huge effort to get soo many cars there on the day!! Aaron Roberts for getting the Kombi back operational so to speak just for this event and for anyone else who put in a big effort I didn't know about to get a car there ready to compete. cheers!!
Lastly my boss aka my Wife Jen for allowing me to do this each year and chewing up a lot of my spare time to put on an event to be of a benefit to the VW community as a whole.
