Hey Guys,

I have noticed that things have been very quiet in terms of events here in TSV, but on the other hand in the past few months, I have seen LOTS of shiny new VWs on the roads. Mostly GTIs, a handful of Rs and couple of Polos.

So would it not be a good idea to have a get together? Light lunch, light drinks, heavy conversations about Veedubs, maybe a photoshoot?

I'm unsure of the number of TSV people that read this forum, but I'm willing to approach the regulars that I see on my daily travels and extend an invitation....

There are a few regulars around that have gotten together and on here.
Jay(Mr JLT)has gone back to the States now, but I've seen quite a few VW's around lately too and thinking the same thing.
See who gets back to you on this thread and go from there..someone always knows someone else

Thanks for your replies. That sucks Mr JLT has left....I saw his car driving around town not too long ago and just couldn't take my eyes off of it!

Anyways, I have yet to attend any kind of car event here in Townsville, but from what I saw in the other thread posted by Water Boy, I reckon everyone would be happy with a small cruise somewhere??

There is a cruise and photoshoot coming up on the 4th June:



No idea what to expect from it but maybe we could go as a collective?

Also, please let me know if you would prefer this thread to be merged with the original Townsville Euro GTG thread started by JLT...I didn't think to post there first
