                    • Great pics fellas.

This was the first year I didn't take any pics. It was great to see such a huge number of Dubs, some awesome cars there, I loved a couple of the MK1's that turned up. Makes me want to try picking one up in future.

Great to see VW owners are really giving the Autofest some serious momentum.

Not sure what the go was with the Audi turn-out but it was piss poor by any stretch, not even the local dealer turned up.

And considering Canberra Audi got dealer of the year and has the best reputation in Oz. Pfffffffffttt...

                        • I just wanted to add this to the mix, I had a great day last Sunday and even went up to the organisers at the tent before I went home and tlet them know that was what I thought - as their job is quite thankless.

However I have the thought over the week how much more awesome it would have been to have the variants placed together in a more structured manner. MK1's all together etc.

Now I know that this is a logistical nightmare in some regards, but, with some planning it could work. Maybe pre-registration so that they know how much space to leave for registered entrants and then the others that don't pre-register may or may not get to park with the other similar models. Another alternative is for us to gather in the library car park before entering and then we end up together by default.

Anyhow I thought I would put it out there publicly but will try to contact the organisers to let them know as well.

Maybe with pre-rego you also know (or are told) that there will be a plastic cone or wooden marker or something with your rego and/or forum name marking the spot where you need to park. Then, the beauty of it all is that if you don't turn up then you're sort of shamed. Just helps folks get a bit more organised and also helps to map out the areas.

                            • Yeah we have been thinking of possible pre-entry and are thinking of doing it next year.
People to speak to directly are:
                              Mark Palmer
                              Bruce Walker
                              Simon (Smead)
                              Myself.

But yeah, I would like to put out a huge thanks to Mark for carrying out most of the work for GAF this year!
                              He did an awesome job!
And Simon for making the cruise rock!
