Look's like the Tassie crew also had a good day out. Weather & all!

I've got some question's regarding this event.

What's a good time to post for this type of event?
Also, how much load is it on the old sky rocket to compete?
What's the rule's, reg's on what has to be done to the car?
Do they hold this event more than once through out the year?

Post up some times fella's. Ohh. & some more pic's.

Once the times go up on the club web site that held the event ill but them up here to.
My best was a 44.51 last year my best was a 49.18.
This even his a once a year deal cost is $105 entry fee, you do about 6 to 7 runs normaly and there is about 50 cars in it every year.
A CAMS 2s lience is needed so thats another $42 just for a single event one.

Luke in his Golf did a 44.31 i think cant quiet remember and Tassie GTI VR6 was in the 46 or 45 not quiet sure.
The outright winner was a Locost with an SR20 with a time of 38.83 this smashed the old records no one had done under 40's before this year 4 or 5 ppl broke the 40's.

I think there were 46 cars this year, at least two had shared drives.

The record was smashed but there were a few reasons for this:
                          1/ The "rolling start"
                          2/ open chicane
                          3/ clean track

Last year the start was done on a count down as compared to this years electronic beam about 2m infront of the car. The chicane was a near flat flick/flick as compared to last years brake/turn/turn/accelrate and the road had lots of grip and no loose gravel in the top area before the finish. I'd say it was about 5 seconds faster this year. As much fun as I had in the Golf I really wanted to run the Datsun
