  • VIC VIC 9N3 Catch Up

    Hey all,

It would be quite worthwhile if we organised a get together of 9N3 Polo's in Melbourne.
Gti's, Tdi', Club's, the lot - all welcome!

I'm assuming the CBD/outskirts of, would work best for everyone so i'm welcome to suggestions. My proposal is GarageCafe in Parkville/Carlton on Berkely St (off Grattan), however I need to suss out it's operating hours.

I'm going to suggest we do a Thursday or Friday night?

We'll be the VW equivalent of dogs sniffing each other

Some of us Vic VW owners have been meeting on the 1st Friday night of each month out Chaddy way but we are open for other venues.

There is a newish Vic Dub site that all us Polo (and other VAG cars, I guess) owners can use for Vic based event planning if anyone is interested.
The site owner is a Polo owner himself (but 6R, not 9N3).

PM me if interested (those who have already contacted me can ignore this part ).

        Update
I visited GarageCafe and spoke to the owner, Robyn, who said that he'd be happy to host us (VAGman himself, mighty fine SC S5)
He did, however, advise against thursday nights as the MX5, OzMazda and Toyota Crown clubs fill the place out then.
He suggests Friday or Saturday nights for us.

        Other suggestions welcome also!

Here are the details and some pics from a previous Vic 9N3 cruise late last year. It was organised as a general scouting cruise for the Maroondah Dam cruise (which I couldn't make) but only 9N3's turned up

                        Maybe.

I wouldn't mind getting a Polo (6R as well as 9N/9N3 and even older models) group going. The Golfs grab all the limelight

Just kidding but I think there are enough Polos that we don't need to hang on to the Golf coat-tails.

                          Fair point.
Should we do Saturday the 16th then?

Yeah I agree about the limelight thing. Best to keep this to a polo only event. I'm sure there's more than enough polo dudes out there to make this worthwhile.

Maybe we could all meet at the April 9th Dyno day if us Polo owners can agree on an arrival time..
