So, anything happening with this? How many people are interested?

I'd probably prefer a shortish drive closer to town myself (say 1.5 hours driving), as I've got plenty on.

Alrighty, because of the short notice.. and myself being very unorganised, we'll make it next weekend on the 9th, from TTP to Hahndorf

I thought Hahndorf was very fitting.. :3

We'll meet in the Civic Park car park and drive via.. a few towns etc. to our German destination.

This is the route atm.. can obviously be altered, because I don't even think its as good as it could be.

We'll meet at the park at 11:30 for a departure at 12:01pm and arrival at Handorf at 1:00pm for a great schnitty lunch

      Thoughts?

Hopefully I will have my gearbox back together and in the car by then.

Is it to late to suggest a route change? Instead of going straight through Ashton, turn left to Basket Range. Much more interesting drive.

I've been catching a bus to work in the CBD for the last 5 weeks so I miss driving my lttle bugger like crazy... I'm so keen to drive that 8:30 in the morning next Sunday I'll be at the Taylor Blend Cafe corner Hallett Road and Marble Tce in Stonyfell. After enjoying one of those fantastic lattes, I'll go for a fang in the hills via Norton Summit, Basket Range, Lobethal, Cudlee Creek, Chain of Ponds and Castambul, finishing at the Thorndon Reserve car park. All up 71 km/ about 90 minutes drive.
Feel free to join me, the coffee is fantastic and the drive will be a good rehearsal for the big cruise

A suggestion for the route, can we go via Gorge rd, through Lobethal, then to Handorf? Or is that too long?
