QLD Dubs by the Pub

Hi, did anyone from here go to Dubs by the Pub? We did......kind of...

Despite driving 1 1/2 hours to get there, I arrived in my MK6 Golf at 9.30am and was told that the only parking for us was in the muddy paddock down the back. I tried to park on solid ground next to a black Mk4 R32 but was told to move on......

I will quote "it's a bit rough mate so take it easy...and don't stop or you'll sink and won't get out" "if you do get stuck we'll push you"

All this while we watched a guy in boots sink past his ankles testing the softness of the ground we were told to drive on.

We don't drive a Split or a Beetle but we are still enthusiasts and driving my pride through the slush and risking damage didn't appeal

Looked like a great show.......next time rather than risk my VW, I'll drive my old Jackaroo 4wd

I went I didn't see many golfs though, which was a little upsetting. It was a really good turn out this year, shame it was so hot!

We went last year and I don't remember having to park on the grass at any point... There were about five of us Watercoolios.
