ok so heres how it rolls from pump #5 at the BP your meeting at...
firstly a ****load of roadworks that i didnt bother making a note of, 10k stretches, some nightwork only though, anyway northern nsw you will need a kidney belt & some pillows, the surface is nice briefly and pitiful most of the way, ballina bypass is nice though, whats open of it at least - taken long enough!
from grafton i think? its pretty mint though, mostly new surface, quite nice really so after suffering for a few hours you can relax a little
now this is allowing a stop at bp outside grafton for a stretch/pee and maccas stretch at coffs but made some notes on the way...
50ks out -speed cam
80ks - roadworks
94ks - speed cam
114ks - speed cam
127ks - speed cam
161ks - speed cam
220ks - roadworks
228ks - more roadworks
284ks - speed cam
stop at coffs
318ks - speed cam
324ks - speed cam
328ks - speed cam
342ks - speed cam
426ks - speed cam NO previous warning
after coffs i stopped counting roadworks /80k zones etc some went for 10ks a pop, 2k gap then more
stopped driving about 100ks north of newcastle & the other half took over - dont bother with the bacon & egg burger at mobil servo unless you like retardedly salty food - anyway not much after that except mint roads, dual carriageway & 110k zones - love nsw for the use of 110k! filled the tig at the bp at the start of the F3, 50ks left, steph doesnt like playing the will we make it game like me
anyway arrived a few hours ago (toukey exit on the f3) problem free except the poor guy who was on the other side of the road in a rather bent truck just north of kew heading north, didnt look nice, stacks of people all over it, must of happened within an hour of me passing, anyway enjoy the drive, take breaks, there seems to be perfectly spaced servo's etc each 200ks from the start point, never noticed before, same with the proximity of cameras to each other, never actually checked distances previously, thats crazy close for 4 cameras!
- challenge too, avoid maccas, support the local stores when you have breaks, easy to do during the day
