Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

WA - Dirty Big Hole Dig

For thousands of years mankind has conquered the odds and taken huge pride in its engineering accomplishments. Large structures have always been at the pinnacle of this, the pyramids, the great wall, the eiffel tower just to name a few, show our desire to build and create for purpose.

The Cottesloe council has decided that this yearning we have should be considered null and void. before the laws are introduced next month, i propose a meet on either Sunday the 3rd or the 10th of October, early start say 6-7am directly in front of the bell. This location will be the homestead for the largest scale public excavation Cottesloe has ever seen.

I encourage you to invite friends, bring food, water, shovels, or anything that may help the process, I look forward to hearing what you all think.

              Just dont go to cott.
A lesser man may even suggest a boy-cott. (sorry. I'm so very sorry)

Plenty of great beaches up and down the coast where you can dig a big hole, fly a kite, kick a ball.
Businesses at cott will suffer from the new rules... If they pass then this council won't be re-elected.

The ocean does a good enough job of digging enormous holes under the water around there. Cott council should really be writing infringement notices to the disobedient salty fluid. What a shocking nuisance that thing is. Full of sharks and angry bears too apparently.

Werd, usually i swim at north cott or, if i am feeling frisky, swanbourne. However, digging huge holes at cottesloe beach has been much of a tradition for myself and friends... this activity will surely be missed by all involved.. so get involved so you can be sad about something in a month or so....

So I guess that's the end of sculptures by the sea. Or are they just going to fine the artists and themselves for hosting the event??

Maybe they should just ban the knobs that hang out in the carpark

I believe this law is going back for review so for now go hard and dig yourself a hole.
