  • VIC Performance Car Mania 2010 (Go Troy!!)

Well, while some of you were drinking lattes and looking at fine German engineering, some of us spent three days eating dust, tyre smoke and sinking our teeth into a fair variety of performance and muscle cars.

Dom, Tim, Tim's mate Ryan, a few other blokes i haven't a clue what their names were and myself set up camp at Winton Raceway and enjoyed the experience that is "Performance Car Mania".

Here's a few pics from Friday night at the camp grounds.

Ryan's awesome 400 small block Prem..

Some blokes decided if they weren't allowed to do burnouts on the camp grounds, they'd do them on their trailer! (I'm serious)

A few randoms including a hell of a fire bucket..

    More to come..

            Saturday Night..

And a last few from Sunday morning in the pits.

All in all it was a top weekend apart from the wankers kicking up dust at the camp site.

Driving Tim's Mk1 was awesome fun. No one gives you respect until you give them a run.. And occasionally thump them. Then they don't give you any respect AND don't like you! hahaha. We made some people look like fools. Some people loved it, some hated it... But they were all looking at it!

Oh, yeah.. And unfortunately the old banger engine couldn't handle the thumping i gave it today and finally let go.. But ahh.. That's another story.. Haha.

I quite enjoyed sitting in my 4-door DSG MK5 GTI drinking lattes all weekend contemplating the finer things in life, thank you very much!

I read through the 'build thread' for that Prem the other day. What a beast it is!
Looks fun. Everything old > Everything new.

Hahaha I would have come for a look if PCM wasn't on, but i only go to static car shows to catch up with people. Couldn't give a rats about the car show, really.

I wouldn't say it gave up.. Tim drove it home. But 18 PSI finally broke an oil ring in No2 and she's a bit sad now. He's still driving it though!

Yea, it's on my list of things to do!

If I had known about it sooner (and wasn't on the same weekend as GAF) I would have loved to have come up.

Good to see Ryan got out and had some fun with the prem! and aslo glad to hear Tim's mk 1 giving them hell!

so 2 or 3 cars wide on the track, cars in front and behind and doing skids doesn't represent ****head behaviour??? lol. I'd be a bit nervous with that stuff going on so close to me, particularly next to or in front of.

A few nice cars in there, and lots that wouldn't pass a road worthy I'd imagine.

seriously.... think for a second! its fair enough to get upset about guys doing **** like this on public roads! but in a controlled environment where people pretty much sign their lives away to have a go on the track.... why should ANYONE be upset for doing stuff like that on the track! people always complain about not having anywhere to do skids or be fools, but now their is, and people still call them ****heads? i dont get it at all!

it was ****ing awesome! none of you were there so you dont know how they drove!.... 95% of the drifters were actually pro's and most of the cars doing skids a worts well over 100k+ so im pretty sure they know how to drive them responsibly ....

and NO my comment i just made is not up for discussion, i dont care so dont tell me... this thread was for viewing purposes
