  • NSW Sydney Dyno Day - Sunday October the 17th

Sydney Dyno Day -- Sunday 17th of October - Spring Run

Entrant Price: $60 which Includes Food & Drinks. 2 Runs per vehicle unless otherwise specified on the actual day or if we have time available.

Spectators: $3 Donation (Yes again, why?, because you'll be eating food that others have paid for and you're a specatator! be fair!)

Location: MAINLINE AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT PTY LTD
    Mainline Automotive Equipment Pty Ltd
Factory 3, 35 Violet St. Revesby (off Old Canterbury Rd)

Cash Payment is on the day itself, we do need to know a rough idea on numbers to order enough food & drinks for everybody.

Every car is welcome, but please remember this is an VAG dyno day (vw/audi cars a like) and the forum members do get priority. We encourage every car unmodified and modified to jump on for comparison's. Its not whose got a quicker or more powerful car, it is about what cost effective mods you have or haven't done or how crazy you have gone with it or giving you a simple base point to your stock settings before you mod etc. (welcome to invite your clio mate, focus or whatever thats no problem)

Once again this is an AWD dyno meaning all 4wd, AWD, RWD and FWD vehicles can run. They do have experience running DSG vehicles yes, it is a Mainline Rolling Dyno not a "shoot out" like dyno day if you'd like to call it. So you will get an accurate-ish "at the wheels" reading.

Please let me know number guys as this will be posted on; VWVortex, VWGolf.net.au, OzAudi, VWWatercooled and whoever else.

Everyone is welcome. Your kids, your friends, your girlfriend or your boyfriend.

Any q's feel free to ask. Last previous years is average was 40+ cars again.

ps. i do not guarantee time slots. first show first run unless want you/they want to wait till later. If you turn up at 2/3pm and expect to jump on straight up when 15+ people are awaiting you will have to wait too! sorry please do not ask to jump queue as it wont happen!

This is an all day event, try come and enjoy yourself without having to rush in and rush out guys.

Kick off is at 8:30 am!

minus i'd say about under 8 people, barely any from this forum turn up to larger events. Pretty disappointing for 'vw / audi' lovers if you ask me.

you'd have more victorians coming to this then you would locals!

I won't be attending for two reasons.

              1) I was at the last one and my car hasn't changed enough to warrant dynoing it again.

              2) Despite turning up at 8am I got the pleasure of seeing a Lancer arrive at 12pm and go on the dyno before my car did. Not bad considering it was suppose to be a VAG day with no bump ups.

That sucks mate, should've piped up if you didn't.

These events gives everyone a chance to meet new faces and catch up with old ones. I haven't been to dyno days involving VWs as they've usually landed on a Saturday (and I'll admit it's cos I didn't have a car worth dyno-ing too hahaha). Hopefully you can see past your 2nd point and come around to support the community.

Unfortunately things do happen, but for certain people who turned up before otehrs and signed up shot off and returned later on in the day as they wanted to run whilst others were there and catch up with people without having to wait to be end of the list as well. (option for some as i dont make preferences).

And its not about warranting if your car is worth or not worthwhile dyno. If you find it a 'chore' and 'uninteresting' to come and meet and greet people who have the same liking as you and chit-chat & food well then i would say probably best not to come.

HOWEVER if you actually are a Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat, car fan in general and enjoy meeting the people and being part of the scene its definitely worthwhile coming and being part of something as well and making a day out of it. You dont have to run as mentioned, up to you.

Usually vortexers, golfnet.au, ozaudi and mkv forums seem to have more members turning up to events then vww these days (bit sad, but truth be told)

Wonder if I can even get on the rollers

                              bump bump!!

Its only a few weeks away and not much interest in comparison to previous dyno days. I hope more people are going to come along to what is always a good day out.
