hey dudes, i don't reckon i can come for the whole day but i'd love to meet up in launy with northerners before you head off?? i'll drive the golf as i have a permit to get it roadworthy hit me back if there can be something arranged?

I drove the road today. Took me 1h20min to get around. There's a small carpark at Cygnet where we can stop, though doesn't look like there's many places for lunch. We might have to have lunch in Kingston if there is nothing open, there's also the possibility of Snug and Margate as places to stop. There's a nice size carpark by the Margate Train.
I did come across a gravel road, 13km in on the Pelverata Road it turns to dusty gravel for 7km. However the gravel road is in better condition than many sealed roads I've driven on! So it's up to you guys, I think it's worth the 7km of gravel road for the 13km of sealed, because it was pretty good! Either that or we bypass it via the Huon Hwy. I've taken some images from google maps below.

I think this is a good meeting point too. The McDonalds and KFC carparks aren't very big but next to them is Repco and they have a decent size car park. So meet here by 11am

We're still in - stupid Q, not very familier with Kingston, is that on the main road on the way in?

On the southern outlet when you get close to kingston it'll turn into three lanes, get into the far right one and stay in it. That will take you to the round about in the pic (coming from the top), turn right at the round about, then imediately left once your off the round about or you'll end up going past the KFC/McDonalds/Repco road. Not that I did that...
I'll update the first post with those that confirm they're coming.

I left the GTR bit out, thought 'R32" might excite some people just the wrong R32. And as I gathered from the Datson meet, isn't it normal for them to be in pieces...

To tell you the truth the GTR bit excites me a lot. Not sure whether I will be heading up or not as my car is now for sale and I'd like to keep to making just short trips for the moment. I could still come though, haven't entirely made a decision yet.

Was talking with Andrew on Wednesday and he suggested the bottom pub in Cygnet is a good eat, so hopefully lunch can be there.
