Hey Guys, although it is not strictly VW related (there are however several VW taking part in the event), I think that anyone with a vested interest in cars, or even a heart would be interested in this.
The event is the 2010 Variety Club of QLD "Port To Port" Bash starting from Southport on the Gold Coast on the 27th of July, and finishing at Port Douglas on the 7th of August.

If anyone is keen to come down and have a look at some cool cars, meet some cool people and have a chat, or would like to donate som spare change to a good cause, come down to Southport and give your support and see the "Bashers" off on their epic 10 day adventure.
My interest in it is this. My Unit, The 3rd Combat Service Support Battalion, is offering workshop support in the form of a 6X6 General Maintenance Vehicle (mobile workshop) with 2 Vehicle Mechanic's (Myself and another RAEME VM).
It would be great to see a few of you down there to see us off... You can't miss us... We will be the ones in the camouflaged 6x6 Land Rover with a big pod on the back!!
