Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    VIC Winton Friday Test n Tune (July 2nd, 9th and 16th)

    Hi gang,

    I have been very keen to have a run at Winton on a Friday for some time now.

    In July we have the chance to choose one of the 3 dates.

    2 July 2010 Test & Tune - Cars & Motorcycles
    9 July 2010 Test & Tune - Cars & Motorcycles
    16 July 2010 Test & Tune - Cars & Motorcycles

    Its $120 entry for the day + you need a Cams licence.

    Car must be in race worthy condition (Not complete POS)
    Have a firmly mounted fire extinguisher
    None elastic bonnet catch
    Helmet
    Pants and full sleeve

    I also recomend a wheel allignment, some decent brakes pads and some old tyres to wreck.

    I will be deciding probably on the Wednesday or Thursday before hand if I will go or not. As I want a dry day, dont mind if its cold but im keen on doing Winton in the dry.

        I would be allowed but as cant drive the Volvo (turbo) and still not allowed to tow (By law) no dice.

        So ill just drive up there in my Mk3.

        If I was allowed to tow and use Dad's car to get the Mk1 there dont worry id be taking it.
