Ok,
So As you may or may-not know morgan park has added a whole new section to their track, and it looks awesome!
If your interested in coming out on One of the dates below and cutting a few laps on it in a "Advanced Track Session" with no timing please let me know either by this thread or a PM.
Saturday 21 August (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm)
Sunday 5 September (8:00 am – 12:00 noon) or (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm)
Sunday 5 December (8:00 am – 12:00 noon) or (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm)
The basic plan for the day would be as follows:
FORMAT: (Car clubs booking a full session may adopt an altered format)
7:40 am – 8:00 am
Drivers Briefing/Sign Indemnity Forms
8:00 am – 8:50 am
Split into 2 groups
Group 1:
Corner entry/exit techniques
Apex/Racing Lines
Group 2:
Trail Braking
Heel-toe downshifting
Vision / Steering / Balance
8:50 am – 9:30 am
Groups swap (complete other session)
9:40 am – 10:30 am
Laps of short circuit (instructors ride in-car)
10:30 am – 12 noon
Laps of long circuit (instructors ride in-car)
Now if enough people are keen we can extend the day and get the track for the whole afternoon, so there would be plenty of laps! even in the morning you will get a good 20+ laps on different track layouts and 1:1 tuition to help with race lines and other driving techniques.
Points to note:
I doubt there will be timing (means they run under cams, barrel of worms etc).
Price may vary, currently its $220 (already discounted from 250).
The new section may or may not be available for us to drive on. its set to open on the 14/15th aug, we are running 2 weeks before so it will be ready, if they allow us to run on it is another matter.
You dont need a CAMS or any other licence to come and run.
Morgan park is ~90min from brisbane in warrick. there isn't a 95db limit either
