VIC Meet and cruise to VWCV Concours

Had a few people ask me what the VWCV event or post is about this Sunday. So to get the message out there:

VW Club of Victoria is holding a CONCOURS d'elegance or Show 'N Shine for those of you who don't know otherwise... this weekend, Sunday May 30th at Moorabbin Air Museum-Moorabbin Airport

So I was thinking about a short meet-up and cruise there from the Shell servo.in North Road Ormond-cnr Malane Street (b/n the Railway line/Ormond Station and Booran Road. Ormond) as the meeting spot for a quick brappp south to the event.

I wouldn't mind going for the cruise, although will let you know if I am going 100% soon.

Just curious do you HAVE TO BE a member of VWCV to enter your VW in the show, or can you just rock up and put it in? I tried to research, but couldn't quite get the answer. Cheers - George.

So wait, we can park the car next to all the other show cars and showground, but our cars wont get judged because we are not members, is that how it is?

you would really need to ask the organisers that question.

on the official site it says
"Entries close for the show and shine at 11am sharp. No cost to VWCV members. Bring your membership card."

this suggests to me non members can enter... just my 2 cents

Its a very aircooled based, standard cars show.

bump...well since posting this meet, I've since seen the Aircoolers are meeting also(at the end of my street !!), but hey...just checked out the Weather Bureau radar and if we're lucky, like today, the showers will clear tomorrow.

So let's see if we, the Watercoolers, can also put up a good show tomorrow morning, so I'll see you at 8:30 to 9am at the meeting place of Shell Ormond...call me on 0417 793 846, if you can't find the place !!

BTW, I'm bringing a few new and s/h Mk1 parts to sell tomorrow also.
