QLD QLD Willowbank Test 'N' Tune - Wed May 9

I'm taking my APR Tuned Jetta TFSI to Willowbank on Wednesday the 9th of May to see what she can do down the quarter.

Any other QLDers interested in coming along?

Gates open at 5pm and runs commence at 5.30pm

To run at these events you need:

Requirements for a car - helmet to Australian Standards, long sleeve shirt, long pants & covered shoes.
Requirements for a bike - helmet to Australian standards, leather jacket or equivalent, long pants, boots & gloves.

Cars can not run quicker than 10.99 sec (not much worry there!)
Bikes can not run quicker than 10.00 sec

To run quicker than these you will need an ANDRA licence.

Cost $36 to race, admits the driver and one other.
Spectators $18 adults, $16 students with ID
Children 13 & under are free.

Last night at Willowbank was good fun. Pretty quiet so only a few minutes to wait between runs. Can't say I saw any other VWs there though

So the DSG with launch control was very consistent, doing 14.5 most runs with a best of 14.46. I have to say I'm pretty happy with that result! Surprised a few people and was asked a couple of times if it was stock

So is 14.46 a good run with just an APR tune? A little cooler (it was 24C all night) and with less fuel onboard (about 3/4 full) and I'm sure it could be a smidge quicker!
