<3 Fuchs, especially with that amount of dish! Nice pics Alex, good stuff making it down from Queensland!
I totally missed h100vw and evorobin at the show. Thanks goes to them for making the trip east and doing the judging. And big thanks goes to Matt, George and any other watercooled organisers for making this happen!!
Thanks Mate. Looks good in the pics, but a few scruffy bits and some of the Judges didn`t like the wheels.
The orange 2 door actually won best modified Mk1, Peter Shelleys 20v Ute was second and neither I nor the yellow thing got a prize.
I wasn`t too upset, as at least there can be no acusations of foul play, with me being a Judge an all.
I would have got a prize for the Seat, I reckon but the Mrs couldn`t bring it due to a dody coil! Grrrr. There was only one entrant in SEAT, due to Williams absence.
Ah yes, the orange thing - forgot about that one.
Seems to come from the same gene pool as the yellow thing though.
Guess you have to be a fan of that look...
I like my Golfs a little more like they came out of the factory...
Maybe we need factory-look modified category to quarantine those guys who like their cars to resemble plastic-coated blobs
I like the wheels, tho you might consider some P-slots
(sorry, couldn't resist that one )
i gotta congratulate to the fella with this piece of machinery on a 3rd (i think) place in mod category, good bloke, spoked to him for a bit, dont even know his name, sorry mate
he came on a cruise once, to the gong
anyway, few picks
Raymond is his name. Good bloke. I spoke to him too, this was his 8th trophy at the Nats! I like the way he ground out and rewelded the gutter on his beetle. Real smooth.
