I guess u guys take this stuff very seriously. but all the complaining about treatment by the aircooled community and stuff. personally im a bit embarassed. What if they actually look at this forum cos there were a lot of people that took an interest from their side and see the bickering and whinging. The only way you gain respect is by earning it. I dont see many people doing that yet.

Ahhh sorry Tim, it did seem like it was directed at me but thats cool. Understand the issues that we have will only serve to make the next one better and easier for everyone involved. I think the Aircooled dubs were much better presented, you didn't see any watercoolers placing mirrors under their cars.

If you are talking about anything I have written about the aircooled mob,well I personally told exactly whatever I have written here on forum to the president and actually I stood up in the committee meeting and said how terribly I was treated last time I went to the nats.so nothing I have written on forum is a secret.If I have offended you,im sorry but its the truth.99% of the ppl I dealt with yesterday were so nice and helpful,I was suprised.I have to say overall with the little bit of disorganisation and not having any experience ,the day turned out great.

Seems strange to imagine that there was once a huge VW divide. My first thought when I read Georges post is that most of the air cooled fans I know have a watercooled VW as their daily driver now!

In terms of having a seperate show there are people that are happy to come and look at nice cars regardless of cooling and having more of those in one place can only be a good thing

it seemed strange to me as well!!! most of these guys that are into aircooled have a golf/passat/polo as their daily driver! its just a small group of fundamentalists that look down on a modded late model VW.As the vice president said to me,we need each other,they need the extra numbers of late model VW's/new members and we need someone to host us.
So basically,do we push to have slight changes in their show and have it again with them next year????
