Yeah I think I did That's only cos it was super shiny Your car was very nicely presented!

As for the Mk5 with that front lip diffuser thing, yeah I was only making a sarcastic comment The guy had a whole family in there! It would be very impractical to have a car that "low" with 3 kids at the back too haha.

            Hey There RayRay,
For your info my friend, the body kit on mk5 GTI is in fact a brand new release by Oettinger. This body kit has been in development since Mk5 GTI was released. Body styling exhaust and tuning was carried out by Paul Muller of Muller & Muller. The work that they did looks fantastic and I am very happy with it. I am one of the fussiest bastards around and am so happy with the perfect fit that the Muller & Muller boys did. If you are not aware of who Muller & Muller are and the experience they have in working with Volkswagon then perhaps you are a bit to young, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt. Buy the way nice wheels mate.

Hey guys, I dont post much here, but I attended yesterday. IMO it was a great turnout, met lots of new ppl. The awards could have been announced a bit earlier, alot of ppl were over it by 3.

Some awesome cars. The polo with the airbrushing was weird. The airbrushing was great, but out of place. The red MKVGTI was nice, but I am of the opinion the kit was misaligned as were the exhuast tips.

Some of the aircooled stuff was great. It was fun to check them out.

All in all it was awesome to see air cooled and water cooled cars there, and the cars were well presented and looking great.

Actually to be fair to Ray, it was me who criticised your body kit. I don't wanna get personal but I was just pointing out why I think your car wouldn't win. Have you looked square on at the exhaust tips? You can't tell me you are happy with that? They don't line up, one side is higher then the other, though this may be the fault of who installed the exhaust not with who installed the kit. It seems to be a family car and that's great that you can use it for that, but the height of the bar, side skirt and gap in the wheel arch don't match up. It just wasn't aligned as well as the other MKV kits.

i have to completely agree with floody here, basically got it in a hole in one. but forgot to mention that you can also see the clamps on the exhaust as well! for "fussy" ... its aint that great imo! its nice dont get me wrong, but ... eek!

Welcome to the forums Derochta! If you were referring to my BBS wheels, thank you! I'd like to get them refurbished some time as it's getting a bit of corrosion around the wheel bolts.

I've heard of Muller and Muller and the work they do, but personally have not been to their workshop. I can't argue with their craftsmanship - the kit does look good, and I only realised the exhaust fitment after reading the posts here!

And with the pic I posted up and the comment, I was merely having a dig at how low it looked from the way it was parked and the ditch in the parking spot.

The kit looks great though, and would look even better if the little bits were "fixed" up I dare not criticise - I've got myself a misaligned rear bumper that's held up by - well, I'd rather not say

Pull our heads in? If he wants to win stuff like the Nationals then I doubt he would with the those problems. The polite way to handle it would be to either say "Thanks very much guys, but I don't agree" or "Hey I know what your saying and I need to get it looked at".

I'd like to see this forum work, it's a cool concept. But I'm not gonna tippy toe round here and not give my opinion. If people can't take criticism then they shouldn't mod there car, it's how we learn and make things better.

                        • Personally i loved it. You dont see many modified mkV around and the oettinger kit looks hot. In the end its whether you like your car that matters, your the only one who drives it!

                            • that comment wasnt directed explicitly at you floody. sorry if it seemed that way. To be honest im a bit shocked at a lot of the comments flying around already. I guess u guys take this stuff very seriously. but all the complaining about treatment by the aircooled community and stuff. personally im a bit embarassed. What if they actually look at this forum cos there were a lot of people that took an interest from their side and see the bickering and whinging. The only way you gain respect is by earning it. I dont see many people doing that yet.

there u go. i said it. and ill say it again. Pull ya heads in.

now show me some more cool pics.
