VW Drivers club of QLD is running Bug-in 2010 at Stanthorpe over Easter.
Track Attack is helping with the Motorkhana & Sprints.

What about sprints/Motorkhana? its about a 2hr drive from bris right?

yeah its a couple of hours from brisbane.
Stanthorpe is the other side of Warwick.

First up in the morning will be the Motorkhana
When everybody is sick of motorkhana the sprints will start and run through till the day finishes.

any idea on rough numbers currently?

its either do this over easter or buy a 98 excel and do some proper racing..

I think the VW club only has about 10 entries in so far.
They are wanting to keep the numbers down to about 40 odd cars for the day.

The excels are looking like they are going to take off.

Off topic, but that Excel Series is a brillant idea. Having only just discovered it, I'm seriously considering it!

If this is the case can something be worked out price wise for the full on comp. races? I understand you have costs to cover and margins to make but surley economies of scale with more people at a cheaper price still lets you walk away with a tidy profit, but more cars running. after all your trying to promote 'cheap' grass roots racing, right?



Back OT, I'm pretty keen to come out for the sprints and Khana, will research it tonight and get back to you.

If we are able to pull a full field of cars we can probably do something with the price. It will probably cost me money for the first few events.
