Maleny - Conondale - Kenilworth and then perhaps back through Mapleton may be the run you are thinking about. Maryborough is about further 150-200km north of the Sunshine Coast.

Please advise the date as I'm interested in another run.

Well do you welcome total newbies who know nothing about cars but have just bought a GTI6 and is now totally hooked. Other than the fact that I'll be skiing in Japan the next 10 days.

Yeah mate, Newbies are welcome. Always happy to see new faces! Dont forget we were all there at one stage.

As long as your not like certain members on this forum, who feel the need to brag about how fast they are and how no one can keep up, and all of that, your fine!

Ok here goes for a second time, Stupid forum logging me out every 10 mins made me loose all of my work.

                  Ok

For a run, I suggest the following Route (This is NOT set in stone so If you have other idea's Let me know, Im happy to hear them). I Suggest we all meet up out at Dayboro, we can go from there over Mt Mee and head up to Woodford. From Woodford we can take Kilcoy-Beerwah road and head up to Maleny (its a left turn somewhere I cant Remember the road. See attached route attachment thingy) Anyway, head up to Maleny and do the "loop"
(Maleny, Montville, Kennilworth, back to Maleny)....some local knowledge on this would be good, I think you may have to Hwy it to Eumundi???

either way, once we arrive back at Maleny, head back down to Peachester, then down to Beerwah, I know of a beauty road down there, its only 500m or so long, but god its worth it!

Anyway, let me know what people think, I am more than happy to change it around. Lets put down Next saturday (23/01/2010) down as a starting day....Let me know.....

Nice run Tim, may I suggest you go through Maleny-Conondale Road to Kenilworth rather than the Witta road and still back up the Obi-Obi Rd to Mapleton. Slightly longer run without repeating some roads and you may consider going from Maleny back along Mountainview Road to Bald Knob Road and down to Beerwah good views of Glasshouse Mtns. Hope link works.

that's a big days drive for any south sider.

Unfortunately I'm not likely to make it mate, I'll be up that way (melany) the following saturday with some mates may be doing the northen loop and a beach lunch.

Mate, I have no problem in moving it forward As I'm sure you remember people were happy enough to do for me, I just want to get people talking about suitable times, and everything went very quiet for a couple of days.

I could be a starter on Sat 23/01/2010.

Once the date has been confirmed, I'll have to decide on whether to bring the TSI or the TDI!
