What a great day! 7 cars and no camera I guess gtimk5 will be posting lots of pic in the near future. Fantastic to meet new people and engage in their enthusiasm for their cars. Silverbullet, Golf Girl and Tasssie_Euro_Mk1 well done to get your Mk1s fit for the day.

Yesss! good day, we must do it again!!
Good job everyone, and big thanks to Andrew as usaual for bringing bits up! good to finaly meet a few more of you peoples!
Next is Brackies for Targa!!!
My digital camera ist kaput. Andrew took lots of photos however the Hobart and NW Tassie crews had travelling to do after the cruise and jobs to do when they got home. It'll happen in good time. Pip (Golf Girl) was staying in Launceston overnight so wouldn't have had access to her computer.
Brief synopsis??
Met at 10 in Launnie, yakked, drove pretty much flat out to George Town with many swaps of the lead car (yes, even my diesel was in front at one stage ) sort of tried to keep to the speed limit on the E Tamar Hwy....geez you mainlanders would love our empty, fast roads....yakked, were treated to some pretty spectacular driving by Silverbullet who was exiting a roundabout and proved he has the reaction times of a cat, stopped under the Batman Bridge (yes...that's really its name) for a photoshoot and yakked, had lunch in Exeter at the bakery, yakked, stopped at the carpark for Brady's Lookout over the Tamar, yakked and met a Sydneysider who has a TDI and loves it, ended up at the Rosevears Tavern for a cold one next to the brick wall that was built by convicts in 1831. Yakked.
Golf Girl only had to top up her gearbox oil once at Exeter and badly needs a gearbox and new shockies. Put Put76 got a fright when his tacho and thermofan stopped working only to find the battery terminal had fallen off. Cheap fix!
Great day, great people and a well organised route. Thanks Benny. Next, Targa at my place on the 25th of April.
awww where are the photos fellas and lady's!!!
