Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Pologti was entered in the show and picked up a prize. GreenT4 from Adelaide was entered along with a heap of T3s and T4s. Even a T5 there from Qld too.
My batteries were flat in the camera on saturday at the racetrack, so I spose its all up to Pologti to post em....

It was a good day out at Baskerville...I had fun in the 'novelty' event...
My car played up a bit...my accelerator cable is currently being held in by an artery forcep thanks to my work the Royal Hobart Hospital...it was all I had in my car to fix it when I snapped it the other day...so i used it...haha...up there for thinking...
If you look closely you can see my car in this picture...it's way in the background next to the shed....you can see the pink bits. lol

Hmmm, Luke, there wont be another time more than likely in Tassie for an event as large as that.
Shame you missed out on it, for the VW nuts here, which on the watercooled side appear to be dwindling, it was a very good weekend. The aircooler masses were thoroughly rapt and the Tassie weather has been the very best all week. I think it all wraps up today and the many mainlanders return on the boat tonight.

Well done to the VW Association for what sounds like a very well organised and run week of events.....especially for the aircooled fans for which it appealed the most! It must have been a big event for them, but certainly not something to worry about missing from a watercooled perspective.

I enjoyed the experience of driving the Mk1 in the hill climb, but in regards to the track day, there will always be other opportunities to use that great track of ours

So get that engine swap done, Luke

Was a bit of fun except for being about 30 laps too short!
